Coastal and Marine Engineering

Planning & Engagement

Community & Stakeholder Engagement

We design and manage outreach campaigns, design and implement engagement processes, develop tools and techniques for input and feedback (virtual and in person), design evaluation tools, and more.

Public Relations & Outreach

Services include publicity, outreach, media, digital, and branding strategies; implementation of outreach programs; communications tools (flyers, press releases, media alerts, briefings, social media, and website content); multi-lingual support tools; graphic design; and web-design.

Event Planning & Management

Services include venue or digital platform selection, invitation copy, invitation list management, meeting materials development and design, event logistics, presentation consulting, meeting documentation, evaluation, and reporting.

Meeting Facilitation & Facilitator Training

We facilitate and moderate meetings and events of all sizes. We also provide facilitator training for project team members and community representatives.

Urban Planning

We provide services for long-range planning, comprehensive planning, visioning, strategic planning, ports and marine terminals planning, industrial development, transportation planning, urban design, charettes, long-term disaster recovery, and resiliency.

CAS Group is committed to help communities plan for a more resilient future. Our Planning & Engagement practice leader has led conversations around recovery and resiliency with communities in the wake of hurricanes Rita and Katrina in LA, the Cumberland River flood in Nashville/Davidson County in TN, and Superstorm Sandy in NY. CAS Group’s significant technical capabilities in coastal and marine engineering and urban planning expertise help to inform dialogue on how communities can build back better and more resilient. In addition, CAS Group team members were part of designing a process for recovery and rebuilding after the 9/11 attacks that included 250+ workshops throughout the New York Tristate region. We are thoughtful professionals committed to a more resilient future. We are equipped to help clients and communities pivot from a challenge to positive action.
CAS Group works closely with clients and project teams to clearly articulate their project’s overall objectives and to design an engagement program that provides the needed input and builds consensus. We have the capabilities and demonstrated experience to design and execute outreach campaigns (including digital and print media), manage meetings and events, and provide facilitation services. Our staff have designed and managed hundreds of public events across the country from NYC to Unalaska and trained more than 1,000 facilitators.
