Advisory Services

In the last five years, CAS Group has performed technical diligences for more than 20 opportunities in the infrastructure space representing over $3 billion of potential investment. We have supported the deployment of $1.5 billion of capital during the same period.

We are often tasked to assess the technical maturity and viability of proposed projects, review CAPEX and OPEX estimates, perform benchmarking studies, review and assist in negotiating EPC contracts, review and improve project execution teams and organizations, identify risks and mitigate them, and enhance opportunity by clarifying objectives, value engineering, incorporation of modularization, and increase automation.

We have diligenced opportunities in the LNG space (liquefaction and receiving terminals both conventional and loafing), petrochemical assets, powerplants, pipelines, rail terminals, storage assets, cruise facilities, desalination plants, ports and intermodal assets, and commercial assets.

CAS Group frequently supports our partners during development phases. While the scope of our involvement is wide and varied, we often provide strategic advice to our clients; assist in project planning; perform site selection studies; develop concepts and help in shaping, refining, or aligning the project’s objectives and requirements; develop the project organization, assist with staff recruitment, and put into place project management procedures and processes; develop scope of works for technical and commercial studies; assist in procurement of professional services; support in oversight and/or management of various consultants; develop risk management processes; identify, measure, and track KPIs; develop term-sheets; provide support during negotiation of key agreements; and assist in capital raise.
CAS Group has supported clients in rescuing troubled projects. While each project is unique, often projects require rescuing due to a misalignment between the project’s objectives and realities on the ground. Broadly speaking, our project rescue approach consists of the following: project performance review, alignment of objectives and requirements, assessment and updating of management processes and procedures, KPI development, staff replacement or augmentation, team building and empowerment, project rebaselining, claims management and resolution, and continued monitoring and oversight until COD.
CAS Group has supported the successful delivery of infrastructure projects by providing a variety of Program Management | Construction Management services. Our approach is to customize and scale these services to the needs of the project and the client. We have served as Program Manager directing a large team on a $1+ billion project. On another project, we are supplementing the Owner’s Project Management Team with Contracts Administration and Construction Supervision services. No assignment is too big or too small. Our objective is to help clients achieve project completion that meets schedule, budget, and performance requirements so they can focus on their core business.
